The deadline for submitting an application and the accompanying documents is the same as the registration deadline for your chosen test.
Processing and checking the documents can take up to 25 working days.
If you submit your application less than a month before the deadline, you will almost certainly not have sufficient time to submit additional documents, an appeal, or a reevaluation request.
Therefore we recommend that you submit the application and accompanying documents well in advance, at least two months before the registration deadline.
For every test, a test with special accommodations is given either on the same date or during the following three weeks.
Registering for the test - in order to apply for special test accommodations, you must be registered for the test.
Registration is via the NITE website (Registration for the Psychometric Entrance Test/Registration for other tests) or by the appropriate pen-and-paper form for each test (see the Registration Procedures page on the website).
When should you register? - We recommend registering well in advance, at least two months before your chosen test date. This is because processing and checking the documents can take up to 25 working days.
Reapplication - Applicants who have already received special test accommodations for a test administered by NITE and who want to take a retest, or to take another test, must make a new application.
Applicants with a disability (medical, physical, or psychiatric; learning disability; or attention deficit disorder) which in their opinion justifies special test accommodations, may submit an application to NITE for special test accommodations.
Applicants with a physical condition that prevents them from sitting the test in a normal classroom with chairs with writing tablets (e.g. advanced pregnancy, severe obesity, wheelchair users, etc.) may also submit an application for special accommodation.
1. Applicant Questionnaire - To apply for special test accommodations, fill out the Applicant Questionnaire. Note: Requests without the questionnaire will not be considered.
2. Accompanying Documents - Every application must be accompanied by the relevant documents as described below. All the documents must be sent to NITE by post or email no later than the registration deadline for the test. We regret that documents received after the deadline and documents sent by fax cannot be considered.
Documents may be sent by email or post.
Initial document submission does not require any payment above and beyond the registration fee for the test.
Note: There is a fee for submitting additional documents after the application, or for an appeal against the decision.
Therefore, all documents should be sent together (if by post, in one envelope; if by email, as one attachment).
The application must be received by the registration deadline.
You should send:
These documents must be attached as PDF files and in their original size (not as a reduced-size photocopy). The documents must be clear, legible, and complete.
A text message will be sent notifying you that your email has been received. At that point, your application will be reviewed, as described in the section entitled “Procedures for Handling Registration and Decisions on Special Test Accommodations”.
You should send:
You do not have to send original documents. Make sure that any photocopies are legible.
