What Do the YAEL Test Scores Mean?

Each academic institution makes its own independent decisions on the basis of examinees’ scores. Typically, the scores are used to determine whether examinees will be required to take courses in Hebrew, and if so, at what level. At some institutions the scores form part of the criteria for admission.

A particular institution’s decision in response to an examinee’s score will not necessarily be the same as another institution’s decision in response to the same score.
