MEIMAD with Special Test Accommodations
The MEIMAD is a computer-based test that meets most of the needs for which people request test accommodations:
- The test is administered in wheelchair-accessible rooms.
- The test is administered in small rooms that hold no more than 17 examinees at a time.
- The time allotted for each section of the test has been increased, and is sufficient even for those who read slowly.
- You may use a basic calculator that performs the four basic arithmetic functions. A calculator of this type will be provided at the beginning of the test to any examinee who wants one.
- You may use scrap paper.
Examinees who have a disability that they believe requires special accommodations beyond those described above should contact the educational institution they wish to enroll in to inquire about alternative admissions procedures.
Any examinee who wishes in any case to receive a score from NITE should register for the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET) rather than the MEIMAD test and submit an application for special test accommodations, following the instructions posted on the NITE website. A PET score is valid for admissions to any of the institutions that accept the MEIMAD.
