Changes to the personal/biographical questionnaire for applicants to medical school from summer 2026
From summer 2026 onwards: there will be a change to the procedure for the personal/biographical questionnaire intended for applicants to medical school (those taking the MOR/MIRKAM/MERAV tests). For details of the changes and information concerning the medical school admission systems, click here (for applicants to the six-year programs) or here (for applicants to the four-year programs).
The principal changes:
- The questionnaire will be administered on computer, and applicants will need to enter their answers at the keyboard instead of writing them by hand.
- The questionnaire will be administered at the NITE testing centers in Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva over a period of several days, from June 22 to June 30, 2026, and will no longer be administered at the teaching institutions.
- The questionnaire will be available in three languages: Hebrew, Arabic and English. Applicants will choose the language during registration. Answers must be entered in the language of the questionnaire.
- The time allocated for filling out the questionnaire will be increased to 175 minutes (for all languages).
- Applicants required to take the questionnaire will need to log on to the NITE website and register themselves. Note: registration for the questionnaire is separate from registration for the assessment Each applicant is responsible for registering for the various elements of the system, following the requirements of the teaching institution to which he or she is applying.
- Examinees in need of special accommodations for the questionnaire are required to read carefully the instructions here, to register for the questionnaire and to pay the fee. The deadline for submitting requests for special accommodations for the personal/biographical questionnaire is May 4, 2026.
- On May 24, 2026, allocation of dates for the questionnaire will open. The questionnaire will not necessarily be administered in all languages at every testing center on each test day. Allocation will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
- On June 14, 2026, the registration system will close and it will no longer be possible to register for the 2026 personal/biographical questionnaire.
- Registered applicants will be able to change the date and/or location of their test, depending on availability, up to two days before the test, without charge. From two days before the test until the day following the test the system will be locked down and no changes can be made. Examinees who fail to attend their test will be able to attempt to reregister for a different date (on condition that there are dates remaining with places available) by logging on to the website. Changes to the test date less than two days before the allocated date or after it are subject to a handling charge of 45% of the registration fee.
- Only applicants invited by one of the universities participating in the medical school assessment system may take the personal/biographical questionnaire. Examinees without an invitation will not be permitted to take the test.
- There is no change to the procedure of registration and allocation to assessment
