Information for examinees in the Psychometric Test from the winter (December) 2026 test administration onwards

Starting from the winter (December) 2026 test administration the Psychometric Test will have a new format, including only two domains: Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. English proficiency will be tested separately via the AMIRNET test.

Click here for more information on the new format.

The test score will be a two-domain score, calculated from the combined performance in the Verbal Reasoning (50%) and Quantitative Reasoning (50%) domains. If you took the Psychometric Test in the past, you will be able to see your two-domain score by logging on to the website, even if you took the test in the old format including three domains. So you will be able to compare your past performance to your score in the new format. The two-domain scores have been reported to the universities. The quantitative-orientated and verbal-orientated scores are still based on the three domains and were not recalculated.

The test will last two and a half hours (150 minutes) without breaks.
The test includes one writing assignment, two Verbal Reasoning sections, two Quantitative Reasoning sections and an experimental section (Verbal or Quantitative), not necessarily in that order.

Restroom breaks during the test

During the writing assignment and the first three sections you may leave the room only to visit the restroom, accompanied by a proctor, without stopping the test clock.
During the last two sections leaving the room is not allowed, even to visit the restroom.

Before the test, it is important to read the instructions on the NITE website, and to confirm your allocation by logging on to the website.

Best of luck in the test!
