FAQs on special test accommodations for the two-domain PET

Beginning with the Winter (December) 2026 test administration, the English domain will be separated from the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET). At that point, the test will comprise just two domains: Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. The only test that will be used to assess applicants’ English level will be the AMIRNET test. Information on this page relates to the PET format that will come into effect as of the Winter (December) 2026 test administration.

If NITE approved special test accommodations for you in the past, you should choose one of the following three options when you register for another test:

  • To take the test without special accommodations
  • To take the test with special accommodations based on documents still in NITE’s possession
  • To take the test with special accommodations and to submit additional documents for review by the Special Test Accommodations Unit

Your request will be processed according to which option you chose, and you will receive a reply from the Special Test Accommodations Unit. The fact that you received special accommodations in the past does not guarantee that you receive the same accommodations or any special accommodations for another test. Yes. You must submit a request for special accommodations for each test separately. At the same time, if you were given special accommodations in the past, you may - at the time you register - ask to receive the special accommodations on the basis of documents that are still in NITE’s possession, without uploading all the documents again.

Yes. Tests with special accommodations, including the Computerized Psychometric Test (MIFAM), will not include questions in English starting with the Winter (December) 2026 test administration.
