FAQs on registering for the two-domain PET

Beginning with the Winter (December) 2026 test administration, the English domain will be separated from the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET). At that point, the test will comprise just two domains: Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. The only test that will be used to assess applicants’ English level will be the AMIRNET test. Information on this page relates to the PET format that will come into effect as of the Winter (December) 2026 test administration.

You cannot register for both tests at the same time. You have to register for each test separately: for the PET here and for the AMIRNET here.

You may take the AMIRNET as may times as you wish as long as you wait at least 35 days between tests, including Friday, Saturday, and holidays.

You may decide when to take each of the tests; they do not need to be take in close succession. At the same time, it is important to take them enough time in advance to meet any deadlines set by the academic institution you are applying to.

You may take the AMIRNET at any of NITE’s Test Centers, located in Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Be’er Sheva. You may register for the test here.
