Applications for Special Accommodations for Examinees Who Are Not Native Hebrew Speakers
Entrance Test for Advanced Degrees in Psychology (MITAM)
Examinees who are not native Hebrew speakers are eligible for accommodations if they fulfil either of the following conditions:
- They immigrated to Israel less than ten years ago.
- They studied at a high school in Israel where the language of instruction is not Hebrew.
What documentation should be submitted?
If you meet one of the above criteria you may apply to the Special Test Accommodations Unit and submit the following documents:
Those who immigrated to Israel less than 10 years ago: a copy of your Immigrant ID (Teudat Oleh).
Those who studied at a high school in Israel in a language other than Hebrew: an official letter from the high school that includes the years spent at the school and the language of instruction at the school.
Examinees who are not native Hebrew speakers may request extra time and the use of a dictionary. Those granted accommodations will be allotted 20% extra time in the first section of the test and 10% extra time in the second section. This does not apply to native English speakers, who will be allotted 20% extra time in the first section only.
Should you wish to use a dictionary, your application should make this clear and state the language of the requested dictionary (e.g., Hebrew-Arabic or Hebrew-Russian).
