The AMIRAM test is a computerized version of the AMIR (English Proficiency) test. In other words, it is a test of knowledge of English administered by computer, used as a selection tool by academic institutions.
The AMIRAM test is targeted at students or applicants to academic institutions in Israel - universities, academic colleges, etc. - in cases where the institution where they are studying or to which they are applying wants to assess the level of their knowledge of English, either as a criterion for admission, or in order to assign them to the appropriate level for compulsory English courses, or exempt them from such courses.
The AMIRAM test is administered at one of the institutions that wants to use this method to test students or applicants. Registration for the AMIRAM test takes place via the institution ordering the test.
